Scott Tokar is a magician and the founder of the Corporate-FX® team. Having started his "Infotainment" career in 1984, he has helped scores of companies explain the features and benefits of their products using magic as a communications medium. As Scott’s reputation began to grow, the demand for his talents became overwhelming. Even though he was an accomplished magician, he still couldn't master the trick of being in two places at one time. So, in 1991, Scott expanded his services and organized a group of skilled Infotainers, product presenters, and corporate magicians to work at trade shows and sales meetings around the globe... He named this group "Corporate-FX®".

Like most well known magicians, early career achievements have always been a part of Scott’s life pattern. Having first shown an interest in magic at age 7, he was given a magic set as a present. Scott has developed and maintained an intense interest in magic ever since.

As time passed, Scott could be found honing his skills at private parties and gatherings throughout the greater Los Angeles area. At the young age of 13, Scott placed his first ad in the Yellow Pages. At age 16, Scott became a member of The Magic Castle’s Junior Program for advanced and promising young magicians. After four years of intense lectures and counseling by some of the world’s finest magicians, Scott, at age 20, received the coveted Junior Achievement Award from the Castle’s Board of Directors. To this day, Scott is ranked as one of the youngest members ever to receive an award from The Magic Castle.

Over the years, Scott’s professional affiliations have grown to include membership in The Society of American Magicians (SAM), The International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.), The American Federation of Television and Radio Actors (AFTRA), as well as Hollywood’s famous Magic Castle and as a member of London's prestigious Magic Circle he has been honored with the highest degree in magic "M.I.M.C. (Member of the Inner Magic Circle, with a Gold Star). At the 1988 International Brotherhood of Magicians convention, Scott was invited to compete amongst fourteen other magicians from around the world. He was immediately recognized for his originality, technical expertise, and showmanship, and was granted the First Place Trophy for his Close-Up / Sleight of Hand Magic. And then, in 1991, Scott was nominated in the category of "Best Event Entertainment Concept" by caterers and event planners at their national convention sponsored by Special Event’s Magazine.

Since that time, Scott has focused his attention on the corporate environment as he works almost exclusively producing live magical presentations at trade shows and sales meetings around the world. In 1992, Scott received the "Best of Show" award while working for Downing Displays at the Exhibitor Show (a trade show about trade shows). And, he did it again in 1998 at the Fall Conference of the Exhibitor Show in Baltimore.

In 2004, Scott devoted his special "magical" abilities to reducing children's anxiety during doctor's visits through the "Side-Fx" magic project. Now, in addition to his trade show schedule, Scott can be found performing and speaking at medical conferences and meetings around the globe under the direct sponsorship of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
